Los Tios is a great Mexican restaurant with a cozy and homelike atmosphere. The s, and the food is very nice. The margaritas are especially good, and they're sure to give you a buzz. The restaurant is usually busy, so it's a great place to go if you're looking for a lively atmosphere. I highly recommend Los Tios to anyone looking for a lively atmosphere.

The food consists of salted grease, salted fat, and salted deep fried carbs. The margaritas are salted ice. if you eat here, you'll need medication to recover. The more you eat here, the poorer your health will be, and the sooner you will die. To be fair, the beer was ok. More

This place was the favorite restaurant close to my nephews' house and was their favorite place as kids. They came to town for the holidays and of course wanted to visit. Food quality is very good and service got quite an improvement. Kids said it is not the same. They still have the yummy green salsa! More

This is not a Mexican restaurant, this is a Tex Mex restaurant!
If you're coming for a parilla, torta, flautas , then do not come here. They serve melted cheese, dried chicken and flat soda. This is perfect place for someone to enjoy an anglonized version of delicious Mexican food, but if you're Hispanic or if you want to taste authentic Mexican flavors then this is not the place for you.

I'm pretty disappointed in this staff, in general. The water person isn't paying attention to who needs water and with all of the ice in the glass, they should be walking around consistently. My waiter, Brayan, shame on him. Zero passion to wait on a customer properly and leave a good impression. Verrrrrrry slowwww with every request I made, whether it was asking for water, asking for the check, asking for a plate, asking for a box, and then 10 minutes after I gave him my card he showed up with the box and apologized that he was still waiting on my receipt and didn't even have my card. I deserve better service 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Really great place to bring family! We had just moved into the area and was looking for a good tex mex place to try and I came across Los Tios on Google and decided to try it out tonight for date night. We walked in around 6 o’clock and only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. We let the hostess know it was our first time and the manager (Mag) nearby heard our conversation and introduced himself. When we sat down for dinner. He brought over a few surprises for us to try And was so courteous there was multiple staff walking around, making sure everything was going well and everyone was very friendly. Brayan our server was great! Our food came out really fast and we love it here chips and salsa is so good. We will definitely be back!

Classic Tex-Mex Done Right
Los Tios never disappoints. The chips and green salsa hit the table fast and set the tone—fresh, flavorful, and addicting. Their enchiladas and beef fajitas are always spot-on, packed with bold, comforting flavors. Service is consistently friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is welcoming whether you’re dining with family or grabbing a casual lunch.
It’s that old-school Tex-Mex feel with reliable quality and generous portions. A Houston staple that’s earned its reputation. Highly recommend!

You pay for what you get meaning this place for a first time customer was excellent. Service was above and beyond. Staff was regularly checking on us, courteous, friendly, and helpful. Food was excellent and will probably return. More

We came here for lunch, showed up at about 12:15: I expected the place to be slow and really packed. The parking was difficult at this time of day, they did have a lot of people in there, but the food came out really quick. I ordered the Acapulco plate. The tamale and chili was excellent, the cheese enchilada was excellent, the refried beans were a little runny, The crispy taco was actually a puffy taco shell and it didn’t eat well, as soon as you started to eat it, it all broke apart and you had to eat it with a fork. The cheese puff was really tasty. Overall, I enjoyed this meal, however, the use of puffy taco shells on their tacos just doesn’t work. I question one of the staff about this and was asking about a regular taco shell. I was told that all their crispy tacos are of this form. it just doesn’t work. The bowl of chips they bring to the table are very thin and don’t hold up to the salsa. Both saulsas were very tasty, but had no heat. Overall, we had a good experience and I look forward to coming back to try other things. Just know that anything called a crispy taco is a puffy taco and you are going to have to use a spoon or a fork to eat it. This was my main complaint with this menu. Additionally, parking is very difficult, the restaurant is in a strip center, and it can be hard to find a place.

Always a favorite. Good TexMex food, free parking, excellent service, good margaritas. Full bar. We arrived early with a huge party and no reservations and they immediately set up a big table for us in the back. They happily gave us separate checks and great service. More

Los Tios is truly our favorite little neighborhood hangout. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a cozy, homelike atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. It has that perfect balance of comfort and energy that keeps us coming back time and time again.
The food is consistently delicious—fresh, flavorful, and reliably excellent every single visit. You never have to wonder what you’re going to get because the quality never disappoints. And the margaritas? They’re outstanding—perfectly mixed, refreshing, and definitely strong enough to give you a happy little buzz.
Another thing that really stands out is the waitstaff. Many of them have been there for years, which to me says everything. That kind of longevity speaks to stability and strong leadership. It’s clear they take care of their employees, and in turn, the staff takes wonderful care of their customers. The service is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
The restaurant is usually bustling, which only adds to its charm. It’s lively without feeling overwhelming, making it a great spot for everything from a casual weeknight dinner to meeting up with friends.
I highly recommend Los Tios to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food, great drinks, exceptional service, and a fun, welcoming neighborhood vibe you’ll want to return to again and again.

This establishment is decent. While it doesn't offer the finest Mexican cuisine, the food is palatable. Its appeal lies in the ambiance and the affordable prices, especially compared to establishments like Pappasitos or Guadalajara.
The tortillas appeared to lack freshness and did not seem homemade, and the salsa served with chips was relatively unremarkable. The beef fajita burrito was satisfactory but did not stand out as exceptional or extraordinary. It was, simply put, good.
For those pursuing top-notch authentic Mexican dining, it might be wise to look elsewhere. However, if convenience and reasonable quality are your priorities, this spot is a solid choice. I fall into the latter category; if I'm in the mood for decent Mexican fare without venturing too far, I would consider returning.

I typically always have great service when I come to this location. Every other time I’ve come they’ve always checked on me whether I’m at the bar or at a table by myself. Today I was served by David before it got busy. He came and checked on me once and then as it got busy, he hadn’t checked on me and walked past my table at least six times he checked on other tables that had gotten there after me the one time he did come to check on me I was trying to let him know that I was finished with my place and he just walked away as soon as he asked. I know the restaurants get busy and I understand that other tables also need to be checked on at one point. I just felt as though he knew that he wasn’t checking on me and purposely would go to other tables. Like I said before, I never have a problem with this location, but that kind of rubbed me the wrong way because I did notice that every other server was constantly checking on their tables and their guests. I wouldn’t say that I would not come back to this location. I just prefer to have someone else.
